A New Learning Model
More than 25 years of research by the world’s top learning scientists at Stanford University has led to Redbird’s revolutionary learning model developed for digital natives.

Our K-7th grade curriculum is designed to meet the requirements of Common Core (Focus, Coherence, and Rigor) and other standards.

  • Focus is achieved through an emphasis on the major standards identified by Common Core.
  • Coherence is developed by illuminating connections between concepts and utilizing mathematical structure.
  • The three components of rigor—conceptual understanding, procedural skill and fluency, and applications—are integrated into the learning experience. Understanding is developed through initial instruction and honed through problem solving. Procedural skill initiates with instruction and fluency is achieved through plenty of practice, including engaging, on- going games. Applications appear throughout courses, in the form of contextualized problems and STEM projects.
Additionally, rich STEM projects, career pathways, and contextualized problems inspire students to develop a love of mathematics and connections to the real world. To actively support teachers, Redbird Mathematics provides recommendations for instructional groups and intervention needs based on key-stroke level data from students’ work in the program.

Language Arts and Writing


The Language Arts and Writing (LA&W) digital curriculum provides students with rigorous instruction and practice in the grammar, usage, and conventions of Standard English. Its five interwoven components – Parts of Speech, Sentence Structure, Sentence Composition, Paragraphs, and Reading – correspond to the Common Core English Language Arts standards. A cumulative progression of multimedia lectures and associated exercises across grades 2-7 fosters student literacy and critical thinking. Advanced Language Research and Technology

Based on years of research by Stanford’s Center for the Study of Language and Information (CSLI), the courseware utilizes innovative language analysis technology that accurately identifies hundreds of common errors in grammar and word choice. Informed by the analysis of more than 7 million student-composed sentences, we are bringing unparalleled personalized learning to the study of writing. The program provides students with error-specific feedback on sentences and paragraphs composed in guided exercises – something no other Language Arts course can offer.

Common Core Inspired Reading

The new reading component of the LA&W curriculum has taken the Common Core ELA standards (CCS-ELA) as a blueprint for its design, content, and learning goals. This component balances a broad range of high-quality informational and literary texts, including familiar classics and diverse modern works. Each instructional unit focuses on academic vocabulary, evidence-based analysis, and critical thinking.
